 Charlotte McKibbin ~ Owner

Charlotte was born and raised in Dallas. She started working in the funeral industry at the age of 27 as a Funeral Counselor selling pre-arranged funerals.

After marrying Joe McKibbin in 2002 she started working side by side with Joe to grow the family business. She continued with her pre-arranged funeral sales during this time as well. Charlotte’s move to Waxahachie allowed her to be involved in the daily operations of the funeral home and community.

In 2007 Joe was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) better known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. While dealing with this disease Joe was still involved in the day to day operations of the funeral home. The days he was unable to physically go the funeral home, he was working from home. At this time, Charlotte took a step back from the physical day to day operations of the funeral home to be Joe’s primary caregiver until his death in October 2014. Even though Charlotte was not in the funeral home daily she remained as involved as Joe in the daily operations scheduling interviews and vendor meetings in their home. To date, there remains no treatment or cure for this debilitating disease.

After Joe’s passing in October 2014 she has worked along side her daughter, Chelsea, and son-in-law to continue Joe’s dream serving families in the community. Charlotte’s mission is to continue Joe’s dream and legacy in serving the families of Ellis and surrounding communities.
